Freight forwarding and logistics clerks organize the shipment of goods. They advise and support customers, e.g. in choosing the right means and method of transportation or in questions of packaging. They calculate prices, draw up quotations, prepare contracts and take care of insurance cover. Once an order has been placed, they prepare accompanying goods, freight and customs documents and monitor the processing of the order. They process customer complaints, receive damage reports and take care of the settlement of claims. Once an order has been processed, they invoice the services.
